Napoleonic Cottage
Serving the Napoleonic Lake, the impeccably restored fishing cottage is set on the crest of a gentle hill with panoramic views across the countryside and lakes. The views and sunsets are breathtaking.
The cottage is decorated in a cosy country house style and benefits from three double en suite bedrooms, each sleeping two people.
Le Queroy was originally a working farm and the cottage shares a large courtyard with a magnificent hay barn and the main Farmhouse where we live on site, on hand for help and advice.
The stone built cottage has been lovingly restored retaining as many original features as possible, and is unsurpassed in quality and comfort. It has a magnificent stone hallway with terracotta flooring, and ancient beams and houses the original bread oven for the estate. We supply a chest freezer in the hall for you to store frozen foods or bait.
The hall leads to a large spacious lounge diner, with oak beams, polished wooden floors and a traditional stone fireplace. There is comfortable seating for relaxing, and we supply a huge selection of DVDs, free wifi and a full sky television package..
The dining area has a large table and seating overlooking the garden, with French doors leading to the terrace.
The modern kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine and plenty of utensils, crockery and cutlery.
The cottage sleeps six people with a maximum of four anglers to best enjoy the exclusivity of the lake whilst maintaining a low pressure environment for our fish to help care for their physical health and wellbeing. One bedroom was formerly the “cave” where family wines and Cognac or homemade Pineau were stored (above ground).
Another bedroom was formally a Pigeonnier where doves and chickens were kept, and it still has the nesting boxes in the walls! We supply all bed linen, towels and even plush bathrobes. Each bedroom has a private bath or shower room. The cottage has full central heating and the large sunny terrace is well equipped with sun loungers, table, chairs, parasol, hot tub and gas BBQ, leading down to a private lawned garden with pool, boasting fantastic sunset views.
